1. It might be 3 A.M. and we’ll be up writing a story.
It could be inspiration hit and woke us in our sleep. Or maybe a big news story was just released. Either way, we can’t wait for the motivation to fade or the news to become old news so we open our laptops and write it out right then and there no matter what time it is.
2. Writer’s block is real, don’t question it.
Sometimes, we sit down to write a story. We can feel how good it’s going to be but we can’t quite get our thoughts into words at that particular moment. Eventually, it comes out but there will be times you’ll see us staring intensely at a blank document. Don’t question it. We are working.
3. We’ll probably write about you.
Sometimes we’ll write about how much we love you and all the good things about our relationship, but other times it’ll be the opposite. We turn into a Taylor Swift of writing. Your name might not be mentioned but every detail of how you messed up will be. Don’t take it too personally, it’s just one way we like to communicate and vent. If you were smart you’d take notes.
4. We are always there to help you with any of your writing needs.
If you’re not the best writer, luckily for you, you’re dating someone who is. We’ll gladly help you with anything writing related and you’ll be thanking God for sending us into your life.
5. It won’t be hard to see our passions.
It’s written clearly in black and white. You’ll easily be able to tell what we love, hate, like, think. There will be a trend in our writing that you’d have to be illiterate to not catch. Lucky for you, it’ll be easy to see how to get on our good side.
6. We love simple things in life.
Like pretty words or phrases. The beauty of the flowers, the sound and lyrics to our favorite song, the smell of his cologne. It’s little things that writers piece together to build the entire story.
To date a writer, you have to be tough enough to take the heat and smart enough to catch the hints. Go get ’em.
